Meryl Waitz has a long and successful career in the jewelry and design world. She has a BFA in Architecture from Parsons School of Design, has sold her work at boutiques worldwide including Barney’s New York and has designed for Trina Turk, Estee Lauder, Crate & Barrel and Target Stores.
Applying her creative skills since 1987, she has worked in all facets of the jewelry industry. Starting out in the late 1980’s, her eponymous handmade sterling silver line debuted at Barney’s New York, and was sold at boutiques worldwide. These collections were made in her NYC downtown studio.
Waitz transitioned to consulting, 15 years ago, designing jewelry, products and collections for major retailers and fashion designers. She has become an expert in design, product development, manufacturing and brand development working closely with overseas manufacturers to develop and produce product in China. Estee Lauder, Crate & Barrel, Banana Republic, Trina Turk and Vineyard Vines are among her clients.
Waitz is currently focusing on her consulting work while creating her own designs and commissioned work in 18k gold. Her fine jewelry is available by appointment only, please contact Waitz for more information.
